Teams in this course can also qualify to pitch in the Das Family Innovate x LA Competition for a $20,000 prize and the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality.

Mobility & Access: Multimodal transit planning, event surge management, traffic flow simulation, and transportation equity

Housing & Public Space: Affordable and temporary housing strategies, activation of mixed-use spaces, and post-Games reuse of athlete accommodations

Resilience & Safety: Infrastructure stress-testing, emergency communication systems, crowd control planning, and public health preparedness

Sustainability: Green infrastructure, urban heat adaptation, circular construction, low-carbon materials, and water management

Smart City Technology: Real-time transit apps, urban dashboards, AR tools for wayfinding, public feedback systems, and smart waste solutions

Small Business Adaptation: Support for local businesses to prepare for increased demand, adapt to changing conditions, and thrive long term
